Markham Convenience Store Robbed

York Regional Police have arrested one man after a Markham convenience store was robbed on Saturday night.

Just after 11:30pm, two armed suspects entered the Daisy Mart on Fenton Rd. and demanded cash. The suspects tied up and pistol-whipped a clerk before making their escape.

After a short chase, the suspects abandoned their getaway car, which according to police, had been stolen earlier in the night.

One man has been arrested while police search for additional suspects.
