Uxbridge Half Marathon & 5K Walk/Run for the Diamond!

The Uxbridge Auxiliary Half Marathon & 5K Walk/Run for the Diamond is a charitable event organized by agroup of dedicated volunteers from the Uxbridge Hospital Auxiliary. The interest and support of all of ourMarathon Participants is very much appreciated, as the money raised will go to purchase breast cancerscreening equipment at our Uxbridge Cottage Hospital.Our event is fast approaching this weekend on Sunday, April 27th, 2008. The Race begins at Elgin ParkUxbridge, Ontario via the Elgin Road entrance. Check in and late registrations will begin at 7:00 a.m. – 8:30a.m.Race Kits Pick up Dates are as follows:

• Friday, April 25th from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital in the Gift Shop Foyer
• Saturday, April 26th from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the Running Room, Unit 18, Pickering Square,1450 Kingston Road, Pickering
• Sunday, April 27th from 7:00 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. in Elgin Park at the Elgin Park Drive Entrance.

Due to time constraints we urge you to pick up your Race Kit prior to the morning of the race if possible.The ½ Marathon is scheduled to begin at 9:15 a.m. with the 5K beginning at 9:30 a.m. the race will takeyou through scenic trails & roadways, through forests with majestic trees, beautiful vistas & fresh countryair.
